Play classic Snake in your browser
Snake is a simple arcade game with a growing challenge: every apple makes your snake longer. Each apple adds 10 points, while the available space becomes harder to navigate.
No download or registration is required. Start a new game and try to improve your personal high score.
How to control the snake
On a computer, use the arrow keys or WASD. On a phone or tablet, swipe across the board or use the on-screen direction buttons. You cannot reverse directly into the snake’s neck.
Use Pause to stop temporarily and Resume to continue. Starting a new game resets the current run.
Three speed levels
Choose speed 1, 2 or 3. Higher speeds leave less time to react. Start slowly while you learn the board, then increase the speed when you feel comfortable.
Daily goal and streak
The daily goal asks you to collect a set number of apples. It is based on the local calendar date in your browser. Complete it to build a streak across consecutive days.
Progress is stored in this browser. Clearing browser data or switching devices can remove or separate your records.
Challenge a friend
After a game ends, Challenge a friend creates a link containing your actual completed score, including zero. Your friend opens the same game with that score as the target. This is a score challenge, not a live two-player match.
The share button uses your device’s share menu where available, or copies a challenge link. A challenge link carries the score target; it does not recreate every move of your game.
Tips for a longer run
Leave yourself room to turn and avoid enclosing empty areas with your own tail. At faster speeds, plan turns before reaching an apple or a wall.
Keep your hands on the controls and watch the open space ahead, not just the next apple.
High scores and privacy
Your record and streak are stored locally without an account. The Ukrainian and English versions use the same record data on this device.
If browser storage is unavailable, you can still play, but progress may not survive leaving or reloading the page.
