Electricity cost calculator

Estimate energy charges using your own rates and currency. Calculate from consumption, meter readings or appliance power, or select the Ukraine profile.

Enter your supplier’s rate for each zone. Currency does not choose a country or convert amounts. Only energy charges are included; add fixed fees and any taxes not included in your rates separately.

Gosta — Important. Useful. Daily.

Choose a tariff profile

Custom rates is the default English mode. Enter your supplier’s price per kWh for each zone and select USD, EUR, GBP or UAH. There are no assumed national time bands, discounts or taxes. Changing currency relabels the calculation; it does not convert amounts.

Three ways to enter consumption

Enter kWh directly, subtract previous meter readings from current readings, or multiply appliance power in kW by hours per day and days used. For multiple zones in power mode, the usage shares must add up to 100%. Enter watts divided by 1,000 to obtain kW.

Multiple rates

Use one, two or three zones. In custom mode each zone has its own price per kWh. Cost equals the sum of consumption multiplied by rate in each zone. Use your supplier’s time bands when allocating consumption; the calculator does not infer peak hours from your location. For example, 100 kWh at USD 0.25 and 50 kWh at USD 0.10 cost USD 30.00.

What the estimate includes

This is an energy-charge estimate, not a complete supplier bill. Fixed charges, standing charges, extra taxes, export credits and tiered tariffs are not added automatically. If your rate includes a tax, the estimate already includes that part of the rate. Rates may contain more than two decimal places; displayed totals round to two decimal places.

Ukraine profile

The Ukraine profile uses UAH and its own one-, two- and three-zone coefficients and time bands. It offers the existing household tariff parameters through October 2026 and a registered-electric-heating option for October–April. For another period, enter confirmed rates manually. Eligibility and actual charges must be confirmed with the supplier; selecting the option does not establish eligibility.

Copy, print and clear

Copy result copies the current profile, currency, energy use, cost and zone breakdown. Print opens a printable calculation, where your browser can save a PDF. Changing inputs hides the previous result. Clear removes entered consumption and rates and resets calculation settings, while retaining the selected profile and currency.
